HOME

You don’t need to leave your house to get moving, or even get a great workout!

Just doing household chores like vacuuming and cleaning can get your heart rate up, particularly if you put some tunes on and have a little boogie as you do it! Gardening is also brilliant for getting moving at home. You’ll soon find yourself getting warm after a bit of shovelling, watering or wheelbarrow pushing!

All these activities add up, and if done regularly, can make a huge difference to your health.

Get moving in the community

There are plenty of opportunities to exercise in your local area, and that doesn’t just mean going for a walk. It can be sociable too.

Try joining a group that looks after your local park. A fun way to get active whilst meeting others and giving something back to the community:

Try a local running, walking or cycling club. You’ll meet people, have fun, and forget you’re even exercising! Try googling clubs in your area.
